Sbarro 300 SL (1986)

In 1986, a Japanese customer asked Franco Sbarro to build him a replica of the 1950s Mercedes 300 SL roadster. Starting with a 1985 Mercedes 500 SL, Franco Sbarro took just three months to deliver this stunning car, which has rarely been seen since it was delivered to Japan after a single photo shoot. GT8 (2006)

The GT8 was commissioned from Franco Sbarro by a customer who wanted to customize his Ferrari 360 Modena Spider. The modifications are purely cosmetic and remain fairly faithful to the original model at the front. However, the rear has been significantly redesigned, incorporating four exhaust pipes. Far from being unanimously acclaimed, only two GT8s were produced, the second one sporting a pink color that made Ferrari enthusiasts scream. (read more...)

Ginevra (2016)

Based on the Ferrari 550 Maranello, the Ginevra (Geneva in Italian) is a one-off model approved and registered in Switzerland. Among other features, it has a trunk that opens like a drawer, similar to Sbarro's 1969 Lola T70. (read more...)

Issima (1996)

Thirty years ago, students from Espace Sbarro in Grandson, Switzerland, presented Issima at the Geneva Motor Show, at the request of Walter De Silva and Mario Flavilla from the Alfa Romeo Style Center (Centro Stile Alfa).
This roadster has the distinction of being powered by a unique twelve-cylinder engine, created by combining two Alfa Romeo six-cylinder engines and developing 500 horsepower. (read more...)

GT C1 (2006)

Twenty years ago, students at Espera Montbéliard presented a Citroën C1 measuring 2 meters wide and 3.50 meters long. The style was influenced by the Picasso Cup presented four years earlier, from which the C1 notably borrowed its butterfly doors. The engine came from a Citroën C2 VTS and developed 125 horsepower. This may seem low, but the car weighed only 900 kg. Roughly speaking, this gave it the same power-to-weight ratio as a Peugeot 205 GTI. (read more...)
